There are so many reasons why you should get your dog or cat spayed/neutered, a big reason is the overpopulation issue that Oklahoma is facing. All over Oklahoma accident litters are happening all throughout the year. Many of these animals find themselves up for euthanasia in an overcrowded shelter. Trust me, the shelters do NOT want to euthanize these animals but they also can't house them all for a multitude of reasons (i.e. disease and illness that occur due to over crowding of any species). Rescue groups and adopters simply can not keep up and trust me, us working with 501c3 rescues wish we could take them all in but we can't. We need resources, space, money, etc. So NOW is the time to be proactive! This is such an easy way we can all help to save lives!

Most of these places, if not all, offer low cost vaccinations as well. You may even be able to get a good deal on heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention, and microchips.
