VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME

This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. This is an easy and efficient way of contributing to the great work we do at Kanoa Rescue Foundation. Get in touch with any questions about how you can Volunteer Your Time today.

We also have amazing volunteer positions available to sign up for! These specialty positions help save and improve lives on a whole new level.

You can use your specific skills to make a difference.

These do require a minimum of 10 hours or more a month. 

The positions are not a part of the Board of Directors.

This positions are supervised by the Board of Directors.

  • Foster Coordinator: this position works directly with our foster parents, you will work hand in hand with our Intake Coordinator to pair foster parents with animals in need, you will make sure fosters have everything they need prior to the foster coming into their, you will go over all foster rules, expectations, and possible do home check ins, you will be the connection between the foster parents and their needs, questions, and concerns. You will keep up to date with all animals in foster care. The Foster Coordinator will process foster applications and approve or deny applicants. 

  • Intake Coordinator: this position works directly with our local animal shelters to pull animals into the program in need, you will hand in hand with the foster coordinator to pair animals with foster parents, you will meet foster parents at our local shelters so they can pick out their fosters, you will keep a detailed list of animal taken into the program.

  • Adoption Specialist: this position will pair adopters with animals, process adoption applications as well as approve or deny applicants. Adoption Specialist will schedule meet and greets, adoption events, and adoptions. This position will keep the Petfinder and other adoptions websites up to date. This position will work with foster parents to obtain photos of animals for adoption as well as bios. 

  • Medical Specialist: this position will ensure all animals in our program are up to date on all medical needs including but not limited to; vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchips, dewormer, specialty surgeries, therapies, and more.

  • Events Coordinator: schedule adoption and fundraiser events, operate events, work with local businesses to make partnerships, network with other rescues and shelters for events.

  • Volunteer Coordinator: this position will work with our volunteers on volunteer opportunities such as transports, events, fundraisers, and more.

  • Social Media Specialist: Create social media content, work fosters for social media content on their fosters, work with volunteers on social media content, schedule content, keep track on social media statistics and trends.

  • Donation Distributor: this position will distribute donations to partner rescues and shelters, this position will distribute donations to foster parents. A detailed list of donations will need to be kept.
